Diary ng Panget is a 2014 Filipino teen romantic comedy film based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Denny R. It follows the story of a poor and unattractive girl named Eya as she gets a job as a maid for the rich and handsome Cross. Despite their initial disdain for each other, they eventually develop feelings for each other. The film starred Nadine Lustre as Eya and James Reid as Cross. It was directed by Andoy Ranay and produced by Viva Films and Skylight Films. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success, grossing over ₱119 million at the box office. Its success spawned three sequels: Talk Back and You're Dead (2014), This Time (2016), and Never Not Love You (2018), all starring the same lead actors.
